Belloguardo cardigan is my newest design published on Wool studio Vol.5. My blog was so quiet last few seasons because of my health issue. I did knit as usual all the time but I didn’t get a chance to publish new pattern or even finish Objects. Things are getting better slowly and luckily get chances to work with some publishers and yarn company early this year. But I can’t post or show photos before the issue is published. So, I had to wait till right time.

Return to talk about this Belloguardo cardigan, It was so fun to work. I love the concept of the issue and always had a plan to make hoodie cardigan for myself. Like monk’s cloak. Deadline was quite tight. But, I enjoyed whole process.

The Belloguardo Cardgian is an avant-garde interpretation of a traditional monk’s cloak with a dramatic oversized hood and billowing side wings. The shape of this cardigan is engineered with a sturdy broken-rib stitch that adds texture and interest to the fabric. The cardigan is worked from the bottom up, starting with each wide peplum.
