I was in silence for a long. I spent peaceful days. Didn’t write much on the blog. But, I’m knitting and designing all the time.
I have a friend, who is a wonderful yarn dyer. She shows me her yarn and I ordered a couple hanks. Didn’t get package yet. I felt I really want dye yarn by myself since I saw her yarn. I’m not a pro-dyer like her. But I have experience about fiber dyeing.
So, I did.

참으로 조용하게 긴 시간을 보냈습니다. 하지만 변함없이 늘 뜨개질 하고 디자인하고 그렇게 지내고 있어요. 제게는 멋진 친구가 있습니다. 실염색을 기가 막히게 하지요. 얼마전 친구가 보여준 실을 보고는 망설임 없이 주문을 했습니다. 아직 소포를 받지는 못했지만 그날 이후로 자꾸 염색을 해보고 싶다는 생각이 드는겁니다. 프로 다이어는 아니지만 그래도 예전에 해봤던 경험을 떠올려 염색을 했습니다.

I used lovely yarn Ruth and Belinda Silky from England. Liz bought this for me almost 3 years ago. It 80% Superfine Peruvian alpaca and 20% mulberry silk. It’s beautiful even if in bare(undyed). I will make fingerless mittens.

루쓰와 벨린다라는 영국 브랜드의 실을 사용했어요. 약 3년전에 리즈가 선물해준 실인데 부드러운 파인 알파카 80%와 멀베리 실크 20%로 만들어진 멋진 실입니다. 염색을 안한 상태에서도 멋졌는데 너무나 하고 싶어서 훅 저질렀어요. 손가락 없는 장갑을 만들 계획입니다.

Worsted weight 100g/166m (180yd?) 워스티드 굵기(대바늘 약 4.5 mm 사용할만한 굵기) 100그람에 약 170미터입니다.

Used three different flavor of Kool aid packets. I really want to dye like  Knit pick  tonal. Love it.   3가지 쿨에이드 패킷을 사용했고 닛픽스의 토널시리즈 흉내를 내보고 싶었어요. 맘에 듭니다. 🙂
